I work with families experiencing a variety of issues, at all stages of the lifespan. Whether you’re a family of parents with young children, teens, all adults, or adult children with aging parents, I’m here to support your family’s changing needs.
- Are you struggling to hold your family together?
- Does your family ignore “the hard stuff” because it’s too hard to talk about?
- Does it sometimes feel like your child’s behavioral issues are tearing your family apart?
- Have you noticed emotional suffering in your child, but feel powerless to help them?
- Is your family having a hard time adjusting to new circumstances, like divorce or death of a spouse/parent?
- Do you feel like you just figured out your child at one stage only to discover they’ve grown older and are in a new stage now that requires different parenting?

Parenting has always been a hard job. But parenting in this age is especially difficult. Not only may you feel the pressure of parenting in a system that is bombarded with influences from technology and social media, you may also feel deep existential dread about your family’s future as climate change continues to worsen. Maybe you remember a time when you felt confident about your family, but now you feel lost, alone, and anxious about what to do.
As a therapist, parent coach, and fellow parent, I understand what you’re going through. Right when you think you have parenting “locked in,” your child moves into a new stage of development—and you move into a new stage—and suddenly things get tricky again. Whatever challenges your family is facing, family therapy can help! Each family is a living system, where even small changes within the system can bring about significant changes. That means therapy can positively impact your family in various ways. For example, you can work on your own issues, then bring your “new self” back into the family system to bring about positive change. Alternatively, multiple members of the family (or the whole family) can work together to improve their own contributions to the family system and the way in which each member interacts. Whichever path you choose, I am here to support you and your family in becoming the most healthy, connected, and resilient version of itself.
