High Achievers & Professionals

you don't have to hold it together here

Many of my clients are people who have spent years being the one others rely on. They are good at holding things together — whether in a boardroom, a courtroom, a hospital, a classroom, or at home. They have learned to perform competence so fluently that the people around them rarely notice when they are struggling. They come to therapy not because they have fallen apart, but because they are tired of holding themselves together alone.

The weight of high achievement is that it is often invisible. Success can insulate you from support — people assume you are fine because you appear fine, because your life looks fine from the outside. Therapy offers something that achievement cannot: a relationship where you don't have to perform anything.

I understand the specific texture of this kind of life. I know this world from the inside — I spent over 22 years practicing law before becoming a therapist. I know what it means to operate at a high level, to be relied upon, and to feel most alone in the rooms where you appear most capable — to be exhausted, uncertain, grieving, or wondering what any of it is for, while the world around you sees only someone who has it together.

What we might work on

  • Burnout that rest doesn't fix
  • Success that feels hollow or disconnected from meaning
  • Difficulty accessing or expressing emotion
  • Relationships suffering under the weight of professional demands
  • A major transition — career change, retirement, loss of identity
  • Grief that has been deferred by staying busy
  • The sense that something important is missing

Grief & Loss

your grief has no timeline

Grief is something we all experience eventually — and it takes an extraordinary amount of emotional, physical, and spiritual energy. Yet our culture treats grief as a temporary detour, something to manage and move through on the way back to normal life. This leaves grievers feeling alone, invalidated, and invisible.

I work with every kind of loss — including the ones that don’t have a name. I will never push you to find the silver lining. Whatever you are grieving, it belongs here.

Identity Exploration

aliveness means always changing

Questions about identity can arise at any age or stage of life — sexual identity and coming out, gender identity and transition, late-identified ADHD or autism, or simply the sense that the life you’re living doesn’t quite fit the person you actually are. This work is LGBTQIA+-affirming and neurodivergent-affirming, and it takes place in individual, couples, or family sessions depending on what fits.

Neurodiverse Couples

different wiring, same love

Neurodiverse couples — relationships where one or both partners has autism or ADHD — often face communication and connection challenges that are real, significant, and frequently misunderstood. What looks like a relationship problem is often, at its root, a neurological one. When couples understand what is actually driving the disconnect, they can stop attributing it to a lack of care — and start reaching for each other instead.

I am certified through the Association for Autism & Neurodiversity (AANE) in the Myhill-Jekel Model of working with neurodiverse couples in therapy — one of the few structured frameworks designed specifically for the dynamics that arise when neurological difference is part of the relationship.
